The other religious place to visit in the town is the lord Shiva temple. The Mahua Shiva temple is a 7th century temple that resembles the Gupta temples at Sanchi and Tigawa. It is one of the famous temples in the region that has ornate door frames and pillars, dating back to the 7th and 8th centuries. A huge crowd of devotees in the temples on the day Monday and a special arti is also organized in the evening of the Monday. A huge fair is also held here on mahashivratri, which is visited by the visitors of locals as well as outsiders.
